HOW TO CARE FOR ME – 2009
For this piece, either a secretary or I was sitting at this booth in the gallery for the duration of the show. If the viewer chose to participate, they simply had to fill out an order form describing and drawing a person, place, or thing they would like to learn how to care for. For my part, I am researching each individual request and then mailing out instructional guidebooks, including illustrations, to these people. Each guidebook is being typed on my typewriter and illustrated by hand. When they are all complete, a book will be made with the order forms I received and the guidebooks I mailed out.
